Penang State Art Gallery.

1. General Information:
Penang State Museum and Art Gallery together with The School of the Arts, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) will hold the Second International Penang Printmaking Exhibition to be held at The Penang State Art Gallery as well as at The Tuanku Fauziah Museum and Gallery, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia.
2. Condition of Participation:
Participation to the exhibition is open to all printmaking artists from around the world. Each artist may submit a maximum of four prints. Participation is free of charge, each artist must donate at least one print to our permanent collection.
3. Size of Prints:
The size of the paper may not be smaller than 20 x 30 cm and not larger than 60x 80 cm. Any print exceeding this size will be disqualified.
4. Technique:
All form and variations of two-dimensional printmaking techniques are acceptable.
5. Mailing of Prints:
The works must be sent to the 2nd. Penang International Print Exhibition 2010, unmounted, unframed in a reusable tube/ container or flat envelope, at the artist’s expense. They will be returned by post at the expense of the organizer. The package must be labeled “PRINTED MATTER”, bearing the declaration “No Commercial Value”. Mail prints together with the ENTRY FORM to:

6. Deadline for Parcel Reception:
Print should reach the organizer no later than June 30th. 2010.
7. Reproduction of Works
Participation in the exhibition implies that the artists give the organizer of the 2nd. Penang International Print Exhibition 2010 the right to reproduce their works without compensation, in the publication of the catalog and the press publication as well on the organizer’s web site.
8. Exhibition Catalog
The organizer will publish an exhibition catalog including photos of the prints.
9. Commission
The organizer will charge a 30% commission on any work sold.
10. Liability
Although the prints will always be handled with the greatest care, the organizer cannot be responsible for any loss or damage during transit or handling.
11. Organizing Committee
The committee will be co-chaired by Associate Professor Rahman Mohamed, The School of the Arts, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and Mr.Juhari Said, full time artist printmaker.
