Achieving Trusted Brand status is a genuine recognition of consumers' approval and trust. The winners of the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands survey were chosen for achieving the greatest mark of market acceptance – trust.
They were picked by consumers from China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand from 43 categories of product and services.The survey reflects consumers' choice of their most trusted and favorite brands among the thousands available in the market.
The survey is carried out for Reader's Digest by The Nielsen Company.
The BrandLaureate Awards was conceptualized to honour brand excellence amongst the best brand in Malaysia and the world. It is awarded to deserving brand that have shown best practices in branding and met the stringent selection criteria of the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF).
Universiti Sains Malaysia is the only Public Institutions of Higher Learning in the country to receive the award for the year 2009.
