FEES REDUCTION and GRANT APPLICATION
Fees reduction and a limited grant application can be considered for
participants from the non-affluent East Asian countries.
To encourage participation from as many countries as possible, in particular from South East Asia and East Asian countries, the International Programme
Committee (IPC) and Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of ICMI-EARCOME
4 are making great efforts to assist delegates who need financial aid.
EARCOME
2 and EARCOME 3 trustees have provided a fund to waive the registration
fees of worthy participants from the ASEAN countries.
Other sources of funding will be
announced in due course.
Priority
will be given to applicants from South East Asia
and East Asian countries who
contribute to the scientific programme.
Participants from other countries who are contributing to the
conference in other significant ways are also encouraged to write us if
they are in need of sponsorship.
Graduate students and young staff members are especially encouraged
to apply.
Grant applications will be evaluated
by the LOC. Applicants may receive
waiver of registration fee only or partial support of accommodation (if
eligible). The decision of the LOC is final.
Grant application begins now. Deadline for grant application submission:
31 January 2007. Notification of grant offer: 28 February
2007.
