The Symposium was successfully convened. Over 180 participants from 38 countries participated with 140 papers having been presented. Both the Print- and CD-version of the Proceedings were available. The Symposium bag was a hit as it is a green product of local handicraft made from “Mengkuang” leaves which are readily available in Malaysia. So are the four educational tours that were organized. The XII IOSTE Organizing Committee wishes to thank all international participants who, despite the long distance & high cost of travel, were able to attend the Symposium. Many thanks goes to our local participants who came to provide the local support and establishing networking with their international counterparts.
