Down memory Lane for 60

PETALING JAYA: Over 60 former students who studied at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in the 1970s gathered for a reunion lunch at the PJ Club here recently. It was an afternoon to share memories of the good old days 40 years after leaving the university.

Organiser T. Balasubramaniam said the students were from the batches of 1970 to 1979.

Most of them were successful civil servants and professionals, and many are now retired, he said, adding that many came with their spouses.

Former student Datuk Abdul Rahman Sulaiman, who is also the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) chairman, said he was happy and eager to attend the gathering to meet up with old friends.
