At Universiti Sains Malaysia, the well-being of staff is a top priority, and we actively promote mental health through a range of wellness initiatives These include regular workshops on stress management, mindfulness, and work-life balance, as well as physical activities like yoga and meditation to enhance mental clarity and reduce stress. Well-being campaigns, such as Mental Health Awareness Week, provide valuable resources and foster a culture of openness, encouraging staff to engage in conversations about mental health without stigma. Additionally, we offer FREE mental health treatment and support at Pusat Sejahtera USM and MENTARI Hospital USM, ensuring staff have access to comprehensive care when they need it most.
In addition to promoting well-being, we offer FREE mental health support services to ensure that staff have access to professional care when needed. Confidential counseling services are available to help staff manage personal or work-related challenges, while a 24/7 helpline provides immediate support at any time. Mental health screenings are also offered to detect early signs of stress or anxiety, giving staff the opportunity to seek help before issues escalate. These resources are designed to empower staff to maintain their mental health and well-being, both personally and professionally.
