KUALA LUMPUR, November 1, 2023 – Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) has been selected and appointed as the lead coordinator for the Electrical and Electronics (E&E) Consortium to implement the Research Incubator and Industry Absorption (MRI3) program by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT). In this role, USM will provide specific expert advice to local, regional, and national government authorities, contributing its vast expertise to shape policies and strategies within the E&E sector.

The Minister of Higher Education, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, highlighted that USM’s appointment to lead the consortium was based on its specialized knowledge and experience, aligning with the establishment’s objectives. This advisory role is a critical aspect of USM's leadership, ensuring that government decisions are informed by cutting-edge research and industry insights.
